The project will revolve around the aggregation and integration of nutrition and performance data from many sources including Mtech, Tableau, formulation software, Excel, and NIR data. Ultimately, the goal of the project will be the generation of reports to illustrate performance and nutrition data in easily digestible formats.

This project will require working in cross-functional teams to include nutrition, veterinary medicine, live production, processing, and IT. Therefore, technical knowledge of poultry science, nutrition, and some programming (SQL) skills will be required. Excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a high drive to

succeed will be essential. Primary Project Tour feed mills, hatcheries, broiler, and breeder operations to gain a better understanding of the vertically integrated operation Meet with individuals in these units to learn what and how data is collected, stored, and managed Work with nutritionist and technical service team to better understand current data capabilities and needs Work with live production, nutrition, and IT to aggregate and integrate data for the purpose of creating useable reports in Tableau o Examples include: feed ingredient usage over time, nutrient levels over time, feed intake over time, egg production, hatchability, feed conversion, etc.

and results at the end of the summer to individuals from all areas of the business Duties/Activities Required by Job Complete assigned project identified by department mentor Attend weekly seminar series across different Mountaire facilities All interns must be available to travel to Delaware during the last week of the program for final presentations (August 5-9, 2024) All interns are required to complete a 10-minute presentation on their project at the conclusion of summer.

Presentations will take place in Millsboro, DE at the Administrative Building during the week of August 5-9th All interns must complete a mid-way evaluation (week 5) along with a final evaluation (week 10)Educations/Experience Requirements Currently obtaining or have obtained an associates or bachelors degree Ongoing or completed M.

S. or Ph. D. (preferred) student in the field of poultry or animal science Previous experience or knowledge of nutrition, broiler, or broiler breeder operations and associated KPIs (performance parameters such as FCR, ADG, egg production, hatchability, etc) Formal or self-taught programming skills (SQL) Experience with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, R, etc. ) Ability to work in a fast paced, visit various locations (Hatchery, Feed Mill, Processing Plant, Administration) to observe and validate job descriptions.
