The Document Control and Deposit Division (DC&D) of the Account Processing Administration (APA) is seeking to hire a Division Systems and Project Coordinator to assist management and support staff with day-to-day operations of the Division.

The person selected for this position will serve as project leader, training coordinator, and liaison between all Program Areas within the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR). Additionally, the selected candidate will develop and maintain reports, assist with the creation and implementation of

new forms and procedures, and monitor to ensure that all Check21 deposits are processed completely. The ideal candidate for this position would be familiar with Check21, Gentax, Imaging, and Data Capture solutions and possess excellent organization and communication skills.

This position requires frequent travel. Job Responsibilities Performs highly responsible functions

as a technical advisor for the Document Control and Deposit Division (DC&D).

Serves as the Division’s technical expert during development of new or revised forms and procedures. Serves as the leader of year-end testing and major Division projects as assigned by the Division Manager. Serves as a training coordinator. Compiles, prepares, and monitors various statistical and management information reports by utilizing Gen Tax Datamart, Data Cubes, and other reporting applications. Serves as a coordinator between IDOR Program Areas in obtaining data pertaining to major projects common to all areas. Monitors Check21 deposits to ensure that all are received, processed, and acknowledged using Check21 database and proprietary vendor system.

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college preferably with courses in business or administration. Requires prior experience equivalent to three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. Preferred Qualifications Four (4) years of experience in image capture/data capture and processing technology solutions.

Four (4) years of professional experience working with Image Cash Letter banking/Check 21 or similar technology. Three (3) years of experience with Project Management. Expert proficiency working with Gen Tax or similar tax processing software. Five (5) years of experience in testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing system changes. Five (5) years of experience developing, installing, and evaluating new and revised methods and procedures. Four (4) years of experience communicating effectively at all organizational levels by organizing and presenting material both orally and in writing.

Intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Word or similar word processing software. Intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software. Conditions of Employment Requires the ability to successfully complete a tax compliance and fingerprint-based background check. This position is considered medium work as defined by the U. S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(c)). Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
