to lead a software team responsible for automated provisioning/deployment and management (e. g. change pre-checks, post-checks, system health, system under change) for the OCI Physical Network.
This is a frontline managerial role, responsible for enabling and directing software engineers to build and sustain internal tooling, leveraging both existing platforms and net new designs. You will have the opportunity to engage partners and customers in and outside the Region Networking organization. In this role you will: Own and develop set of tools and services that enable safe, high throughput network deployments with minimal human touch Attract, develop & manage a team of highly skilled
software engineers. Define and develop software roadmaps; project manage and report on this roadmap Establish & report on business metrics for the efficacy of your services Solve difficult problems in distributed systems, infrastructure, and highly available services.
Collaborate with Region Networking service teams, centralized Network Automation and Network Monitoring platform teams, and the Operations Engineering organization to identify product Participate in on call rotation for managers. Propose and drive process improvement programs Minimum Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of experience in managing software teams.
3+ years of technical leadership experience preferable. Experience building scalable, cloud native distributed systems. Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON. Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise.
