is seeking an experienced Project Engineer, to join our Co MET team at our Beaumont location. Responsibilities will include management of geotechnical and Co MET projects in the Beaumont and Gulf Coast regions. You will be preparing scopes of work and proposals, acting as the Project Manager/Engineer,

will have the profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, and review Co MET reports for all assigned projects. Additional responsibilities will include developing new and enhancing existing relationships with clients and influencers.

Serve as Project Engineer on assigned geotechnical engineering and Co MET projects to ensure reports are technically correct, ensuring budgets and schedules are met. Direct and supervise field-logging if engineering supervision is required during drilling operations. Coordinate drilling activities. Oversee lab-testing assignments in accordance with testing program established in proposal. Analyze field data, lab test results, and complete engineering reports.

Coordinate reports from geotechnical engineering and Co Met to ensure quality final reporting.

Work with other divisions or consultants when needed for support. Support Co MET operations in field during construction. Ensure quality in line with established protocols. Provide mentorship and learning to employees. Communicate with clients on all aspects of projects. Assist in budget creation, work on invoicing for projects, and assist in department's financial health. Be a support in attaining projects and participate in professional organizations. Ensure claims and disputes are communicated to senior management to prevent litigation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, Professional Engineer's license for State of Texas, and minimum of 3 years of combined relevant construction / geotechnical engineering experience is required. You must have experience with expansive soil and heave prediction, shallow & deep foundations, as well as over-consolidated clays, global stability analysis, local geology, pavement section design (public & private), deep foundation testing, pile load testing, PDA, PIT, cross-hole sonic logging, instrumentation with Piezometers, Inclinometers, horizontal civil work projects including pipeline and transportation/infrastructure projects.

You must also have knowledge of testing procedures used in a geotechnical and construction materials testing lab (ASTM, TXDOT, AASTHO, USCOE, etc). The Project Manager/Engineer must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and can speak clearly and concisely with clients and staff to ensure effective and efficient management of projects. Strong organization skills, utilizing firm resources when appropriate are key elements of this position. This position requires a valid Texas driver's license and meet our firm's auto insurability requirements, enabling you to travel to project sites.

Driving will be required and may include maneuvering over uneven or rough terrain. This position may require protracted or irregular hours.
