About the job The Customer Intelligence (CI) Development Organization is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the Email Channel team in delivering an industry leading first of a kind Software as a Service product within SAS.

This channel is critical to our clients' business and a key part of their marketing campaigns. Email marketing is one of the most effective, cost beneficial and measurable forms of digital marketing. It is as relevant today as it ever has been in the past. Our cloud enabled email marketing capabilities provide clients with the features

to deliver highly personalized and targeted email campaigns at scale. We deliver billions of emails for our clients across the globe with the highest possible inbox placement and response rates.

We collect data about how recipients interact with the content in the email so that our clients can use this information to gain insights and view reports about the performance of their email campaigns and overall customer journeys. You will work in an exciting environment where we deliver enterprise software at a rapid pace using the latest technologies, agile techniques and support our customers in a cloud hosted production environment. As a Software Development Manager, you will: Lead a talented

technical team delivering key functionality for the Customer Intelligence Saa S product.

Including but not limited to the product feature delivery to enable the critical digital channel of email marketing Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals. Utilize a Growth Mindset to drive high quality software delivery in a change ready culture Work closely with peers & leads across Development, Quality Engineering, Design and Product Management on delivering on product roadmaps Work closely with each team member on career and skill development to ensure growth and to retain our talent Collaborate on the development and technical design discussions across the organization Take the initiative in seeking out opportunities to identify and deal with issues within the product areas you have responsibility for and those of others, as needed.

Ensure all deliveries within your team are developed according to established development standards while also looking for opportunities to create new standards for the larger organization to improve Agile, Dev Ops, CI/CD, Quality Engineering, simplicity, locality, consistency, and supportability. Work Location: Position is open to work in the US or UK based on where the candidate is eligible to work.

Excellent problem solving skills, are highly structured and thorough in your work, with a willingness to frequently step outside your comfort zone.

Ability to navigate a complex matrixed environment and work closely with development teams while managing other key stakeholder relationships. Required Qualifications 3 years of experience with email marketing systems Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field. 8 years actively working in or leading enterprise software delivery with at least 3 years in a leadership role, whether as a team lead or formal management position 3 years of growth mindset leadership and the process evolution of software delivery, agile software delivery experience (Kanban preferred) 3 years of experience in CI/CD & Dev Ops process, technology and team culture development 3 years of experience coordinating development across User Interface, Design, Quality Engineering teams Experience with Value Stream software delivery, Dora metrics and Test-Driven Development Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services), Kubernetes and Docker Experience with developing models for cloud-native architectures - Microservices, CI-CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery), EDA (Event Driven Architecture), security at cloud scale.

Recent Experience working with Java or similar programming language Strong understanding and ability to communicate on the concepts of software architecture, frameworks, data structures, and Agile programming practices A clear understanding of the product development life cycle and project management. A proven record of developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships across multiple organizations. An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
