Your Responsibilities As a Staff Software Engineer for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Chicago, Illinois you will be responsible for designing, developing, and coding end to end digital products that are consumed at and by our factory teams to support their operations. In addition to being an engineer on the team, you will: Evaluate, design, and implement solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications Collaborate with other relevant

stakeholders and team members to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs Execute necessary documentation, as directed, or needed Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.

What Skills You Need 8 Years of proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions leveraging change management processes. Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions.

Has an expert understanding of software engineering principles, can apply the principles to complex situations, solve complex problems, conduct research/break new ground, develop new applications, and provide expert support for other practitioners. Excellence in verbal and written communication forms with emphasis on persuasive communication, tact and negotiation. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others. Ability to manage many competing priorities/requests in a fast-paced environment. Extremely proficient in cloud technologies and implementing them (lambda, Kubernetes, Terraform, gateway etc), CI/CD processes, in depth understanding of API design and authentication Understanding of infrastructure as code using terraform or Cloud Formation Advanced knowledge of modern web application development, mobile technologies – responsive and reactive design.

Strong experience with software test automation techniques (Test Driven Development) and framework (Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress, ) (2+ years) Experience designing and developing microservices, micro-front ends, event driven architecture, relational and non-relational databases Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment Strong understanding and application of system design capability that leads to scalable, fault tolerant and resilient designs Experience with observability implementation Note : Primary Tech Stack: react, node.
