Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of various equipment critical to our mining operations. Your role will consist of Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of mining machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and develop effective repair solutions to prevent equipment breakdowns. Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected failures. Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist Proven experience as a mechanic, with a preference for 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in heavy machinery. Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in equipment maintenance. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Working Conditions & Location This is a full-time position, often requiring 12-hour shifts with rotations between day and night shifts.
