The successful candidate must be admitted to practice in California. Duties: Provide expert legal counsel to clients on matters concerning the California Coastal Act, including its adoption, amendment, and implementation of local coastal programs. Assist clients in the preparation and submission of applications for coastal development permits. Represent clients before the California Coastal
Commission during permit hearings and related proceedings. Effectively litigate Coastal Act claims on behalf of clients, ensuring their interests are protected and advocated for.
Requirements: Minimum of 4 years of experience in Coastal Act-related legal practice. A strong track record of advising clients on matters related to the California Coastal Act. Experience in representing public agencies in Coastal Act-related issues is a significant advantage. Must be admitted to practice law in the state of California. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active membership in the State Bar of California. Certifications: State Bar of California membership. Skills: In-depth
