Credit Analyst The key to being a highly trusted advisor for our clients is understanding their businesses, and your time as a Credit Analyst will provide you with the tools necessary to excel as a relationship manager.
Beginning as a Credit Analyst, participants will learn the following: The foundation of the commercial banking business Financial analysis and sound credit underwriting The skills necessary to make good credit decisions and gain the experience to help clients navigate complex financial problems Associate As an Associate, participants will continue to use the analytical skills they developed while doing the following: Learning the fundamentals of loan documentation and credit administration Working closely with experienced bankers, similar to an apprenticeship, to provide excellent service to the bank's commercial banking clients and to assist in the onboarding of new customer relationships Learning all aspects of the loan origination process from constructing proposals and negotiating terms, to executing final documents and funding a new transaction Gaining experience with the Bank's deposit, treasury management, and other services for business clientele Commercial Banking Officer The Commercial Banking Officer is the primary contact person for his or her clients' banking needs and has latitude to do so in a way that suits his or her style and personality essentially running his or her own business within the bank's business.
As a Commercial Banking Officer, participants will be prepared for the following responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of existing customer relationships Meeting regularly with clients in their places of business, listening to the customers' needs, exploring new business opportunities, and crafting value-added credit and treasury management solutions Being active in the community and building relationships with other business professionals such as accountants, attorneys, engineers, and architects Growing a book of business over time Training and Development Process: To ensure program participants have the necessary tools to build their skillsets and progress efficiently through the program, the Commercial Banking Officer Development Program utilizes a combination of on the job training, mentoring, continuous feedback, and classroom-style education including the following: Participate in several specialized orientation activities related to topics including: The Bank's organization, history and values Service standards Policies and regulatory overview Performance and development planning Network with assigned mentors, other managers and leaders within their community Participate in classroom programs designed to complement on-the-job training.
