This role involves the Electrical Drafter to create precise diagrams, such as wiring layouts and system plans, which are crucial for guiding the construction or modification of electrical systems.
The Electrical Drafter plays a key role in bridging the gap between innovative ideas and practical implementation, ensuring that all designs are accurately represented and easily understood by the engineering and production teams.Responsibilities Create drawings for new and existing electrical products (PCBs, wire harnesses, ground support equipment) Create documentation packages
(drawings, procedures, specifications, etc. ) for new and existing products Observe and assist engineering and production teams in resolving issues Communicate challenges with leadership Support the design, development, prototyping, and documentation of electrical systems for unmanned aircraft.
Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, aerospace) and departments (production, quality assurance). Participate in documentation peer reviews. Maintain high standards quality within the team. Qualifications U. S. persons, per ITAR definition A. S. or B. S. in Electrical Engineering or similar Ability to draft, read, and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity
with PCBs and wire harnesses. Strong people and communication skills, willing to work with others Experience with the following: Creating production quality engineering drawings.
Altium or similar PCB design software. Microsoft office products. Attention to detail and quality. Able to work cooperatively on a team Hands-on PCB or harness testing and assembly using common electrical tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron, crimpers, etc. ) Designing, documenting, or assembling electrical equipment, such as PCBs and wire harnesses Altium JIRA Zuken E3, Solidworks, or similar 2D CAD software Component library creation and management Integrating electrical, software, mechanical systems.
