Summary: As a Language Translator operating on a contract basis, you will play a pivotal role in supporting educational initiatives by facilitating the translation of curriculum workbooks and materials from English into French and/or Mandarin.

Your primary responsibility involves translating educational content while ensuring accuracy and alignment with learning objectives. Operating as a contractor, you will be compensated based on completed projects

while maintaining high-quality standards in your translations. Essential Responsibilities: Translation: Accurately translate educational curriculum workbooks, materials, and instructional content from one language to another, maintaining the original context, educational objectives, and pedagogical structure.

Adaptation: Ensure translated content aligns with cultural norms and educational standards to resonate with the target audience while maintaining accuracy and coherence. Collaboration: Collaborate with school administrators, educators, and subject matter experts to comprehend learning goals and deliver precise translations within project timelines. Review and Enhancement: Proofread

translated materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in the target language.

Enhance content to address language-specific nuances and educational requisites. Quality Assurance: Uphold high-quality standards in all translated educational materials, ensuring they meet linguistic, pedagogical, and cultural requirements. Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address queries, incorporate feedback, and ensure a seamless translation process. Requirements: High Language Proficiency: Exceptional fluency in French and/or Mandarin, with strong writing, grammar, and comprehension skills in both source and target languages. Educational Background: A degree in languages, linguistics, education, or a related field is preferred, with a focus on educational content translation.

Translation Experience: Previous experience in educational content translation, curriculum development, or related roles within the education sector is advantageous. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to convey educational concepts accurately and effectively in the target language. Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with a team, including curriculum developers, educators, and stakeholders, to achieve shared educational goals.

Projects: Project 1 Kinder Student Workbook Translation: The book contains about 600 pages, with a few phrases or sentences on each page. The book has already been translated into Mandarin and French, however there are some changes in the new edition that need to be revised. Note: This role operates on a contract basis, with compensation based on completed projects.
