CUMULUS MEDIA (Atlanta, GA) has an immediate hybrid-remote opening for an experienced Tax Manager at the CUMULUS Corporate Office. The Tax Manager will assist the VP of Tax and work with our internal accounting and finance groups in the preparation and review of the tax accounting

and reporting of federal, state and property tax. The ideal candidate will manage a wide range of responsibilities and provide hands-on support to ensure the integrity and operational effectiveness of the tax function.

Overall Responsibilities: Develop a best-in-class tax department that supports the company's strategic objectives, collaborate with the Finance department to communicate tax impacts of business changes and identify tax planning opportunities.

Specific Responsibilities: Provide all inputs and prepare analysis to support the Company's ASC 740 accounting for income tax compliance with all GAAP, SEC, and SOX requirements. Assist in the preparation of income tax disclosures included in the Company's financial statements, footnotes, SEC filings, press releases and other public documents. Prepare/review federal and state tax provision work papers. Facilitate and manage the Company's federal and state income and franchise tax return preparation processes and accurate, timely filing of all tax returns and forms.

Direct participation/inclusion in either or both internal and external examinations of the Company's accounting for income tax and non-income tax audits. Work with external and internal team members as a liaison in resolving tax issues. Review non-income tax compliance and filings. Ensure operating effectiveness of controls relating to tax processes. Perform tax research and planning including monitoring tax law changes and alerting management to developments that have a significant impact on the company.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting income taxes, cash taxes, and other relevant analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA required. At least 3 years of related experience in either broadcasting or public accounting. Thorough working knowledge of ASC 740. Strong experience in One Source Tax Provision Software required. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience managing the federal and state tax compliance processes. Strong tax technical, accounting, analytical, communication, people, and project management skills.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines. Must have the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
