Position Overview C&S Companies is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to be based in our Buffalo office. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our civil engineering practice. This candidate will work on multi-disciplinary

teams to perform site/civil infrastructure design and construction observation for private development, higher education, K-12 municipal, and healthcare clients.

Responsibilities include field data collection, analysis, and development of engineering plans using CAD software and 3D models, and preparation of engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates. Work is initially performed under close supervision with potential to progress to independent work based on performance. Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. Occasional day travel will be required. Position Responsibilities Civil Design: Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to assist in the design

of civil/site development projects that include site layout, sanitary and water utility design, stormwater management systems and preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and engineering reports.

CAD Design: Utilize industry-standard Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare 3D models and detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications. Data Analysis: Conduct site investigations and analyze data to support the engineering design process. Interpret survey reports, environmental impact backssments, and geotechnical investigations. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project designs comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Work closely with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals. Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and project managers, to ensure seamless project delivery. Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards. Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified. Skills/Education/Experience A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering EIT/FE a plus, with intent to receive a PE license 0 - 3 years of experience in civil and infrastructure design with strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices Familiarity in engineering software, including Auto CAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software as well as Microsoft office.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Estimated Compensation Range: $73,000-$80,000/year Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
