great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us. The Boeing Company is actively seeking a F/A-18 Airframe Structures Senior Wing Design Engineer at the Berkeley, MO area. This is an opportunity to be a key part of one of the primary platforms on US Navy aircraft carriers, the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler.

The F/A-18 wing is an amazing engineering design, and this role is responsible for maintaining it. Position Responsibilities: Leads small design team to support production of F/A-18 inner and outer wings, and spares Develops, integrates and documents structural system requirements to ensure compliance with program and contractual requirements Develops,

maintains and modifies structural and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Supports root cause corrective action initiatives, supplier information requests, producibility improvement requests, and any potential shortages

or work stoppage to the production line. Applies Engineering Best Practices to ensure delivery of first-time quality for engineering data.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance: -This position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Security Clearance for which the U. S. Government requires U. S. Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U. S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. )Basic -Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Background in aerospace.

7+ years of CAD design experience. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Highly preferred: Current active Secret U. S. Security Clearance Project management experience. Familiarity with design engineering best practices Knowledge of fabrication and assembly of structural components Experience working on military aircraft platforms. Experience working with US Navy customer or other DOD agencies. Experience with composite and metallic material system. Typical Education/Experience Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.

g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e. g. Ph D+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc. ).
