The Space Systems Sector is seeking an experienced Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer in to join a Ground team based out of Morrisville NC , Fairfax VA , Linthicum MD and Aurora CO. The successful candidate for this position will join a group of Software engineers that is designing, deploying, and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments for a ground system.
The ground system will include Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes. We are seeking an experienced User Software Developer to work as a member of an Agile team developing a high-visibility, mission critical component of a larger system. The new team members will be working with Docker, Linux, Python, AWS, NATS, and GRPC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working individually and as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. The team is seeking talented engineers who resolve software problems and utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
The successful candidates shall have experience with creating specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/ Government Off-the Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. Qualifications This position may be performed at a Software Engineer level or Principal Software Engineer level depending on the qualifications, skills, and experience of the candidate.

CSA-A or CSA-P, or equivalent Experienced with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) CI poly or FSP Salary Range: $79,300 - $130,800 Salary Range 2: $97,500 - $160,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
