drones so that you can produce them efficiently and at scale. How you'll make an impact: Collaborate closely with the product development team to influence designs for robust manufacturing and assembly. Develop an in-depth understanding of part function and critical to quality criteria.

Architect, develop, and implement processes and metrics to assemble, test, and validate those products. Craft work instructions that can be used to both train new operators and guide experienced ones. Layout work stations to optimize the speed and consistency of producing sub-assemblies and integrating them into a working product. Design fixtures to help operators join, fasten, and adhere components repeatably

and accurately. Develop in-house industrial automation of gluing, curing, ultrasonic welding, robot calibration, and test processes. Respond quickly to ongoing/sustaining manufacturing issues that arise in the day to day process of ramping products.

Hands-on and excited to build things. Interest in both architecting an assembly station and debugging a failed test. Ability to design and build automated assembly and test hardware, integrating either internal circuit boards or off-the-shelf modules. Strong grasp of fundamental engineering concepts Self starter with a desire to push Skydio products to the next level while communicating cross functionally. Expert at creating complicated electromechanical assemblies in one or more CAD softwares, and prototyping using 3D printers, laser cutters, drill presses, and other tools. Practical manufacturing experience and/or knowledge in the following manufacturing processes: metal casting, sheet forming and stamping, injection molding, CNC machining, extrusion, coating technologies, and welding.

Background in industrial safety process, PLC, and electrical wiring. In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection, and an ability to review and generate 2D drawings. Experience applying quality tools such as Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and 8D Problem-Solving, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and/or CAPA.

Expected travel requirements Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position (spanning multiple experience levels) is $127,000 - 172000. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
