directly to the Design Manager. This candidate will serve as an Oak Street Health design subject-matter expert and help facilitate design development and preconstruction processes for new centers. The Senior Design Associate will assist with site surveys and due diligence, developing new center floor plans, project reporting and scheduling, managing architectural vendors, and value engineering efforts.
Role responsibilities will include maintaining and improving design standards through consistent management of the Design Directive Log and Design Manual. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a skilled communicator, adaptable in responding to project changes quickly, and capable
of managing multiple projects at once. Core Responsibilities: Coordinate site survey due diligence and review site backssment reports to determine project base building scope.
Create floor plan markups of new centers that reflect OSH design standards and priorities. Oversee revisions with architectural vendors. Conduct floor plan reviews with OSH internal stakeholders and incorporate their feedback into new center layouts. Collaborate with OSH interdisciplinary teams to problem-solve design-related issues. Identify and resolve potential project delays and cost impacts such as base building scope and value engineering in design phases. Research municipality permit processes and timelines
to inform project schedules. Establish relationships when needed to facilitate reviews and approvals.
Update the OSH Design Manual to support replicable, scalable design standards. Communicate new Design Directives as needed to architectural vendors. Manage team members to maintain accountability to preconstruction project schedules and update new center reports. Coordinate design scope and schedules among OSH teams to ensure a smooth transition to construction, and ultimately to operations. Other duties as assigned What are we looking for? Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Interior Design related discipline required 5+ years of experience in the design and construction industry Technical building knowledge and strong space planning skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Team building skills to work across multiple teams and satisfy design expectations Excellent (written, verbal, visual) communication skills Strong organizational skills and tactical project management and prioritization Proficient graphic skills for drawing markups (Bluebeam Revu), updating the Design Manual (Adobe In Design, Illustrator), composing presentations (Google Slides) Schedule management capabilities (Smart Sheet) US work authorization Someone who embodies being " Oaky" What does being " Oaky" look like?
