Job Responsibilities In this role, you can expect to: Evaluate potential client workloads and develop solutions to implement them across various cloud platforms and technologies: Drive technical innovation by leading customer workshops and mapping business problems to viable technical solutions.
Turn one-off customer experiences into repeatable patterns: Scale your impact by, for example, transforming Terraform files into well-documented reusable templates. Help customers leverage Samsung Private Cloud to create business value: Build relationships with key customer stakeholders to become a
trusted advisor on Joyent's product capabilities with experience and expertise across multiple cloud platforms. Advocate for customer needs across departments: Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency in customer support and advocacy.
Develop a deep understanding of Joyent's technology: Contribute to thought leadership through articles, examples, or presentations that showcase the value and capabilities of Joyent's products and services. Proficiency with modern programming languages like Python, Ruby, Go, or Java. Expertise in Dev Ops Methodologies, CI/CD Pipelines, Observability, and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible Advanced knowledge of Cloud Native
design patterns: networking protocols, serverless architecture, container orchestration (e.
g. Kubernetes), and microservices. Education & Experience A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience. At least 10 years of experience in cloud computing, including architecture design, solution engineering, and consulting roles. Hands-on experience with cloud migration strategies, including hosting, platforming, and refactoring legacy systems. Experience working with executive-level stakeholders, both internal and external. Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies. Compensation and Benefits Compensation for this position will vary among specific regions due to geographical differentials in the labor market, and actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
Therefore, the annual base compensation range for this role (depending on the geographical location) is expected to be between $145,000 and $215,000. Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Vacation and Sick leave, electronic reimbursement and many more.
In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for bonus compensation based on individual, department, and company performance.
