The Ground Systems Development Department (part of Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector) in Manhattan Beach, CA is seeking a talented Staff Engineer Technical Lead to lead the development and integration of complex electronic test systems and electronic hardware units in support of space flight programs. This individual would act as a Ground Electronics Communications Systems Technical Lead on our program. The position leadership responsibilities include leading a team to: develop system architecture,

detailed design, performing customer briefings/reviews, hardware test, site integration, and post-delivery support.

Primary deliverables are flight electronics test systems and satellite system operational ground based hardware. The candidate will lead an electrical design team which is comprised of electrical hardware design engineers and other engineering functions, including: Flight Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product Engineering, Software Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Program Management to meet schedule and technical requirements. The ideal candidate has a broad range of experience with: - Leading small to large hardware development teams - Design, simulation, integration, and test of electronic test systems - RF, Digital, and power design - Electronic drawer/unit/rack design - Test System Architecture and Design Some responsibilities include both performing and leading the following: - Electronic Unit design, development, test, and integration - Electronic Test System (Test Set) design, development, test, and post-delivery support - Developing and presenting design reviews for internal and external customers - Preparing schedule and earned value and briefing it to project leadership As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or another STEM degree from an accredited institution and 14 years of experience in an Engineering Environment; OR, a minimum of 12 years of experience with a Master's Degree in STEM Design and test experience in Digital, RF, or power technology Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in electrical or computer Engineering from an accredited institution Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience leading an engineering team.

Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U. S. Government security clearances: Do D Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years OR with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years.

Salary Range: $177,100 - $265,700 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
