What you'll get to do? In this role, you will act as a Software Systems Engineer Lead (SWSE Lead) responsible for development & execution of verification and validation approach, integration with system CONOPS, and coordination with system architect and modeler to ensure interactions and behaviors are correctly captured in the requirement and functional baseline. In addition, you will act as a Product Manager for the Command & Telemetry Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) product. Responsibilities are but not limited to: Lead multi-disciplined engineering teams from system design, requirements management, and then integration and test of highly complex technical system.
Prepare SEIT Deliverables in collaboration with SWSEs across teams. Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program verification and validation efforts. Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline. Provide oversight and direction to the SWSEs on the program performing the following functions: Requirements Development & Management (using DOORS).
Interface Development & Management. Verification planning, integration & test prep, and execution. Qualification closure. Leads an Agile Multi Scrum Thread of Command and Telemetry as a product manager by working with stakeholders to define the product vision and outlines what success looks like. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in STEM with 9 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 7 years of related experience Active Do D Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Agile development Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers, and customers Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (Sys ML/UML) and concepts Excellent technical writing and team building skills Understanding of Software development principles Ability to develop algorithms to guide software development Salary Range: $129,700 - $194,500 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
