As a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer, you will be facilitating sub-projects as they go through the Risk Management Framework accreditation life cycle. The ideal candidate will be supporting the periodic system
security scan as required by policy and the RMF. You will validate and verify system security requirement definitions and analyze system security designs. You will use your 7 years of Information Systems Security Engineer experience to perform, technical security backssments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, and then be able to recommend mitigation strategies for those that do not comply with established Information Assurance (IA) standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth! You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Information Systems Security Engineer Level 2 Fourteen (14) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar
scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Do D 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required CISSP Certification is required. Four (4) years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Information Systems Security Engineer Advanced - Level 3: Twenty (20) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Do D 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3 is required. Both Information Systems Security Engineering Professional ( ISSEP ) and CISSP Certifications are required. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Experience to manually review network diagrams, network device configurations, termination points for VPNs and have a working knowledge of software TLS security. Able to maintain a flexible and non-traditional RMF review of secure networks to backss and prescribe countermeasures for secure communications e.
g. analog radio, mobile cellular, remote kits, software/hardware-based VPN solutions and VDI technologies. Are familiar with applying different standards and security frameworks to include CIS benchmarks, FIPS 140-2, DISA Stigs, CNSA cryptographic suite compliance etc. Participate as a security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments. Apply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments. Support security planning, backssment, risk analysis, and risk management Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data. Interact with the customer and other project team members. Perform system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
