Prepare, finish and paint walls, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment as assigned. Prepare, finish and paint walls and ceiling, woodwork, and fixtures to include prep work and caulking. Repair plaster and sheetrock walls to include tape, block, skim, and sand.
Determine the type of paint required for application to different surfaces. Paint mechanical and electrical equipment. Mix paint ingredients to obtain proper color and consistency. Performs other job-related tasks. Perform minor plaster work to include scratch coat and finish coat. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions. A willingness to work shift if necessary, including
days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
Four years of experience relating to painting, spray painting, plastering, and spackling. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET U. S. Government Security clearance. At program discretion, candidates will be upgraded from SECRET to Top Secret.
