As a Lead Journeyman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on various commercial projects. Your leadership skills, technical knowledge, and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of projects while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: Lead
a team of electricians and apprentices, providing guidance, mentoring, and direction to ensure efficient and accurate project execution. Plan and coordinate daily tasks, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet project timelines and deadlines.
Perform hands-on electrical tasks including installation, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on commercial electrical systems, equipment, and components. Interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical specifications to determine project requirements and layouts. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards at all times. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
to provide insights and recommendations for optimal project outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and hours worked for reporting and invoicing purposes. Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in commercial electrical work. Qualifications: Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Tennessee. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial electrical work. Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in fast-paced environments. Effective communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and project stakeholders. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Ability to operate electrical tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments effectively. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
