resources, and configurations. This position is on the Horizon contract, based in El Segundo, CA. It supports the Space Command and Control (C2) Program Management Office within the Space Systems Command's Battle Management Command, Control & Communications Program Executive Office.
Your primary responsibilities will involve contributing to the development, deployment, modernization, and expansion efforts of the Space C2 program. The position requires you having an in-depth experience with Do D program acquisition processes and documentation. You will interact and coordinate daily with numerous stakeholders (Program Managers, Contracting Officers, System Engineers, and external/partner
organizations). The Exciting Work You'll Be Doing: Drive a continuous improvement of our software systems, infrastructure, and applications. This will include design, documentation, and briefings to senior leaders and stakeholders to drive stability, resiliency, scalability, and flexibility into the BMC3 ground systems architecture.
Collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display or reporting for both mission unique and commercial software. Assist the government with transition from prototype software systems to scalable enterprise microservice
enabled applications ready for operational units. Communicate technical strategy regarding infrastructure, platform, data, and application development to contractors, external stakeholders, program managers, and senior government leadership.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications needed to be considered for this role: Bachelor’s Degree and 14 years of relevant experience with: Implementing large scale, highly-available, complex platform solutions Supporting and/or managing technical programs throughout the software engineering life cycle. Platform as a Service Engineering Cloud Computing Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable) Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination Preferred Qualifications: Experience with: Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP and Azure Kubernetes, Online Services, and Active Directory Setting up and leading Agile development Implementing of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools Confluence, JIRA and or smart sheets Deployment Pipeline development Application Programming Interface (API) development/management Certifications in any of the following Cloud Service Providers (CSPs): MAW, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Sale sforce, or Adobe Cloud.
Target salary range: $175,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
