People Responsibilities : No direct reports, but may manage employees, consultants, and contractors indirectly while leading projects. Essential Job Duties: Develops annual and long-range project plans and timelines based on strategic EHS goals and objectives.
Responsible for ensuring project teams meet their specific project goals. Identifies emerging occupational health and safety and environmental risks and help develops plans with EHS leadership to mitigate liability to Labcorp businesses. Develops budgets, monitors spending and identifies cost effective methods for creating, developing or modifying Enterprise EHS products, processes and services. Partner with EHS Leadership and other
key individuals to support and communicate the EHS mission and guiding principles as an integral part of Labcorp’s business culture. Act as a liaison between Labcorp and regulatory agency representatives.
Conduct presentations to Senior Management and Business Unit Leaders on EHS issues and performance as needed. Collect EHS-related data; perform analyses; and communicate findings and metrics to EHS Leadership. Develop global EHS standards and guidelines. Develop and maintain familiarity with all EHS platforms and systems. Partner with IT to oversee the acquisition, development and deployment of new EHS systems. Work with contracted agencies (broker, worker’s compensation, property loss,
etc. ) to continually improve EHS strategies and programs.
Lead global EHS programs as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned. Will be required to occasionally work off-hours and be subject to 24-hour on-call capacity to respond to and investigate EHS incidents. ) and vendors (equipment, suppliers etc. ). Travel Requirements: Estimated 5% of time will be spent traveling to locations within assigned region. Experience: Required 3 years minimum of applied professional EHS work experience. Preferred EHS experience; in a laboratory setting or demonstrated expertise in industrial hygiene, biosafety, chemical and waste management. 3 years minimum experience of leading people or managing programs. Experience in providing EHS leadership to multiple locations globally. Education: Required Bachelor's degree in science or technical field Preferred A Professional certification, such as Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional.
