Job Summary: Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has an opportunity for a Sr. Infrastructure Storage Engineer available to support the next generation of satellite command and control systems for one of our government customers. As part of a team of engineers, the candidate will be responsible for managing storage services in multiple environments as well as providing solutions for storage related issues; must be a strong troubleshooter with experience
in storage issue mitigation as well as prevention. This position may require some on call support and overtime, occasional after-hours availability as required for installation and troubleshooting support.
The candidate should be open to expanding their skill set to include skill sets beyond purely storage as there is need. NOTE: This position will be based out of the RTX Facility in Aurora CO; but some local travel to other sites to support program activities will be required at the following locations: Schriever SFB Colorado Springs; Boulder Colorado, and Buckley SFB in Aurora as required. Responsibilities to Anticipate: You will support storage system troubleshooting and solutions
finding. This includes working with program personnel to ensure solutions are incorporated into the storage configuration.
These solutions would ensure permanent fixes are found for storage related issues You will be responsible for storage configuration of storage upgrades in physical and virtualized environments You will update and maintain Storage Design Documentation You will support & maintain storage configurations for storage devices, including SAN, NAS, and scale-out object storage. Configurations include: The types of storage systems to install, physical and virtualized storage configurations, and how storage is presented to the remainder of the system You will maintain contact with vendors for hardware and software installation and troubleshooting as needed You will work with System Administrators as well as other engineering personnel for implementation of storage configurations Basic Qualifications: U.
S. citizenship and current DOD-TS or TS/SCI Security Clearance is required, as only U. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience Experience with storage configuration on physical and virtualized storage environments Experience with enterprise backup architecture, emphasizing Cohesity backup solutions Thorough background in on premise and virtualized infrastructure data center systems design Experience Linux System Administration.
Hands on experience scripting skills (i. e. Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion. • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. • Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals. • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work. • Interface with site customer personnel to ensure conformance to Drawing/Hardware/Software/Graphics site standards.
• Coordinate commissioning and validation activities on-site with commissioning agents and site automation engineers.
• Schedule commissioning and validation activities with the Validation Engineering Team. • Perform technical reviews of test documents, software, and graphics. • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards. • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution. • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team. • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning. • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

R esponsible for a medium to large project, manages the contractual commitments of contractors including cost, quality, and schedule and coordinates their field activities. High level knowledge of commercial/contractual complexity, deal structure/financial acumen, disciplines of supply chain, communication skills, C-level relationships.
