Position Description: Provide System Engineering & Integration (SEI) expertise to the Systems Design & Definition Branch/EV72 in support of the Moon-To-Mars (M2M) program in the area of Artemis Campaign Development (ACD) Architecture & Baseline Definition (ABD) for the definition and development of the core capabilities needed to support lunar surface missions (Artemis III and beyond).

Support includes coordinating and interfacing with engineering, program office, Moon2Mars Program Integration Leads, ACD team members, and customers as well as participating in reviews, meetings (i. e. team/discipline, TIMs,

teleconferences, etc. ), working groups and trade studies. Participate in technical trade studies that support mission requirements and integrate analysis data from various Exploration Analysis Cycles: (Architecture Analysis Cycles (AACs), Requirement Analysis Cycles (RACs), and Exploration Mission Analysis Cycles (EMACs).

Support/Lead integration of mission specific analyses to backss system performance and requirements, and to develop scenarios, approaches, and concepts of operation. Support the integration of analyses, along with general backssments of systems, missions, and resulting architecture to recommend solutions, forward work, and potential trade studies.

Specific support to be provided and performed includes, but is not limited to, the following: Support the ACD SE&I Architecture & Baseline Definition (ABD) team by providing SE&I expertise, integration support, and leadership in the areas of enterprise level " End-to-End" Interfaces Management, and Integrated Testing, specifically: o Perform Interface Requirement Document (IRD) & Interface Control Document (ICD) product reviews and risk backssments, and IRD & ICD development via working groups. o Development of reporting tools and products for on-going backssments and milestone reporting.

o Development of traceability between interface requirements, architecture, configurations, and verification plans. o Integrated testing verification planning and execution via working groups. o Development of integrated testing risk backssments. Perform backssments of proposed systems concepts across multiple programs/projects. Lead requirements development, design implementation, and architectural elements that are needed to provide the core capabilities for missions. Define the functional capabilities and concepts for the architectural elements that are needed to provide the core capabilities for missions.

Support the planning efforts and requirement definition needed for an extensible and scalable communications and navigation architecture. Perform technical integration across multiple NASA Centers, diverse engineering and program/project organizations, and a variety of engineering disciplines. Integrate across the ACD Programs/Projects to define and document a mission capability summary for overall mission planning. Qualifications: A degree in mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering or degree in an equivalent field of study is required as well as experience supporting requirements development, space mission planning, or the development of payload integration requirements supporting the ISS, SLS, or equivalent Do D programs.

A degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred. (7TO) Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of an MS with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or BS with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. (7TX) Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of an MS with a minimum of 18 years of relevant experience or BS with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience. The candidate is required to have: An understanding of space systems concept definition, functional requirement development, and/or design integration processes for requirements development, interface management, and validation and verification.

Mathematical skills and the ability to perform analytical backssments of vehicle systems, subsystems, and components. Ability to breakdown complex problems or issues into manageable pieces to facilitate resolution of technical concerns. Experience performing risk-based backssments of proposed engineering solutions. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, customer relation skills, and presentation skills are required.

Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, & Outlook). Desired (presence of one or more of these qualifications will be used as discriminating factors in selecting applicants): Experience negotiating and coordinating high-level agreements with principals, developers, and stakeholders. Familiarity with the Gateway Program, the Human Lander System program, or the Artemis program. An understanding of the NASA/contractor environment and NASA systems engineering processes. Proof of U. S. Citizenship is required.
