(ECC) Cloud System Administrator you will collaborate and partner with a diverse cross-section of DT, Engineering, and Program Management teammates supporting RTX's programs across the Enterprise-Wide Area Network ( e WAN ) to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
This role will involve supporting the External Service team in the development of their cloud and hybrid offerings. This position is located in Tewksbury, MA - Tucson, AZ - Richardson, TX - Aurora, CO or, El Segundo, CA with potential for domestic travel. This position is relocation eligible. Responsibilities: Setup, maintain and automate across various infrastructure with VMWare, AWS Gov Cloud, Azure for Government, bare metal needs, and restricted networks Diverse operating systems knowledge for administration (Microsoft Windows, Linux, etc.
) Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware , operating systems (OS) and cloud. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (Do DD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (Comp TIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
Basic Qualifications: Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or associate degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience is required. Must have an active and transferable Secret U. S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U. S. citizenship is required, as only U. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Understanding of networking in a cloud environment Ability to translate concepts and ideas into technical solutions and high level architectures Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a focus on hybrid and cloud solutions Preferred Qualifications: Experience on deploying new cloud native platforms and systems in classified and/or unclassified work environments. The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
