Responsibilities: Provides protective escort and accompanies the Principal on all movements and provides body cover to mitigate risk. Participates in providing protective services programs for the WBG's President and as directed for Managing Directors, members of the Executive Board and other high-risk staff and their families. Provides security threat backssment while reviewing the daily schedule and projected travel itinerary of the Principal to identify potential security and safety related issues. Maintains communications with the client's Security Operations Center and support personnel at all times. Contributes to the planning and execution of small to medium events and visits by dignitaries to ensure a safe environment. Maintains a wide range of internal and external coordination to include liaison with federal, state and local law enforcement officials, host-country government officials and sire hosts to accomplish protective security objectives.
Participates in physical security programs to include corporate facilities, residence and hotels, charter aircrafts, special events, ground and air transportation and special projects. Participates in professional forums and maintains currency with trends, actions and issues with emphasis on terrorism, criminal threats, workplace violence, political instability, civil conflicts and developments in the executive protection field.
Conducts fact-finding and gathers pertinent data including evidence, while following the client's procedures and in close coordination with the client's fraud and corruption unit (INT) on issues potentially involving staff. Serve as the focal point for local law enforcement inquiries which may have a criminal element requiring a client response. Serve as the Security office liaison for inquiries from the client investigative units such as INT and the Information Security Office. May be required to conduct interviews of client staff, consultants and/or contractors.
Provides briefings to the Contract Manager, Headquarters Security on a regular basis and obtains guidance as necessary. Maintains a high level of discretion in managing sensitive cases. Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience with a law enforcement, military, intelligence, public or private security organization. A Bachelor's degree or international education equivalent is preferred. A Certified Protection Professional or Certified Protection Officer designation is preferred.
